The fact that they are even having to work to get to 60 on this means this deal was thoroughly unnecessary. Meanwhile, there are Republicans in the House who will help buy us more time, and hopefully improve the situation. Everyone would do well to remember that on any bill, today’s exceptions are tomorrows loopholes.

  1. Does anyone know the bill number for this go tsao de ammendment? The mass media, as usual, only refers to this thing by name (if they mention it at all.) The staffers in Sen. Levin (D-UAW) and Stabenow (D-ALF/CIO) local and Dee-Cee offices seemed to have no clue what I was talking about.

  2. We shouldn’t give up on the Senate yet, even us PA-ians. Its not guaranteed to hit 60, especially with other amendments that might be added on.

    However, the House was always our biggest line of defense. I don’t believe anything of substance will come out of there- especially after reading that Townhall article.
