According to Roland Browne:
“It’s just the same really as pushing tobacco products onto kids,” Mr Browne said.
“It’s the American gun culture being pushed into Australia.”
“It’s just what we decided we were going to move away from in 1996.”
I guess I’ll have to reconsider all the time I spend in Australia trying to push guns on kids!
Oceania seems to suffer from hoplophobia. Or maybe Americaphobia.
I blame the British influence in that area.
The Aussies have a love/hate relationship with the US. On one hand, they want to be *exactly* like us – but they do *not* want to be said to be acting like us. This knowledge comes from being there for four years.
Gun culture? Celebrate diversity!
Pushing guns on kids is easy, but you got to start them off easy.
The “gateway” calibers are the rimfires, then when they’re hooked on them you introduce the “heavy” stuff.
