Yep, the trace shows us that somebody bought it ten years ago. He sold it to a coworker he’d known for years, who was later burglarized. The burglar swapped it to his connection for far less than its value in drugs. The dealer passed it to the gangbanger who franchises his street corner, who lent it to his cousin. Clearly the original legal sale is the place to attack this problem.
I concur on the punishment.
