My sources are telling me Governor Kaine has vetoed both the Virginia restaurant carry bill, to allow people to carry in restaurants provided they do not consume alcohol, and the bill to allow firearms to be kept in a locked contained within a vehicle without a license to carry concealed.

I can’t find access to the votes…were they close?
Do they have enough to over-ride Kaine’s contempt for the will of the people, the legislature, and the constitution?
I think there are enough for an override. It wasn’t that close. I’ll let you know when I have something to link to.
As the current votes stand, SB436 has the votes to override, while SB476 does not.
