Joyce has made a $350,000 grant to CeaseFire Pennsylvania:
The Chicago-based Joyce Foundation is granting the organization the money over two years to aid its bid to build a statewide, grass-roots response to gun violence, CeaseFirePA’s executive director Joe Grace said.
That’s big money aimed square at gun owners in Pennsylvania, and Joe Grace has demonstrated that he’s a capable and effective leader of CeaseFire PA. This isn’t going to stop, and we need to have our A game on.
But will Alexander Tristan Riley finally get his due recognition?
THAT’s the big point!
Join the club, Pennsylvania. But they dole it out to the IL groups in lumps of 3/4 million….
I am sorry to hear this. You already know that Barack Obama used to serve on Joyce’s BoD….and was board President at one point IIRC.
We at The Pennsylvania FIrearm Owners Association raise about $500/mo in unsolicited donations from real people. Unfortunately that wouldn’t even cover our web-hosting if it wasn’t donated by our VP.
It sure would be nice if we had a rich foundation air-dropping us money in quarter million dollar increments.
Gun owners in PA have been very successful over the years at defeating the anti-gun organizations on a shoe-string budget. I can’t imagine how successful we’d be with that kind of money but I won’t be holding my breath for it.
It does however seem to show that Joyce’s tactic is “If you can’t win with facts and logic, throw lots of money around.”

Trying to buy “grass-roots”–what a contemptible bunch of elitist, would-be nobles.
