Robb has a concern I have been all too familiar with. One reason I switched from Hoppes No. 9 to using Gunzilla as my gun cleaner of choice, is that I don’t have to worry about some burly gun owner coming up to me, giving a sniff, and saying “My my, is that amazing fragerance Hoppes No. 9? Enchanting!” and giving me a wink. Gunzilla, if it has an odor, I think sorta smells like olive oil. It’s that mild. In fact, I’m pretty sure the stuff is basically biodiesel, or maybe biokereosene.

You say that like it’s a bad thing….. XD
Well, Bitter would get jealous.
I’ll try the Gunzilla next. Funny that all my hobbies smell bad to my wife. She can’t stand the smell of the Hoppe’s, nor can she stand the smell of malted barley.
All my hobbies are expensive and stinky. Go figure.
I keep thinking that I should try something different, but just can’t seem to break the habit of picking up good ol’ #9. Must be something addictive in that scent.
I do use CLP on the AR, but other than that Hoppes it is.
i just splash some used motor oil on my neck… that way i smell like Ford… and we all know that no self respecting burly gun owner would be seen anywhere other than in the company of Chevy guys…
