My friend Jason has been having fun getting various uppers and accessories for his M11 machine pistol:
Jason did the NFA dance before everything got really expensive. He was smarter than I was. I have yet to try the new 100 round upper. The last time we went to the range it experienced run away fire the first time he tried it. While I thought this was kind of cool, and still wanted to try it, he thought it was probably best to fix the problem first. Probably the wiser move.

Oh man, I need one of those 100 round uppers for my M11.
For the 100 round magazine to work, you need to be willing to cut off the rear sight on your registered lower. With the rear sight intact only 50 round magazines will fit.

The Calico and Lage uppers both have their own rear sights, and the original M11/9 sights are close to useless anyway, so I went ahead and cut the rear sight. Full auto with a 100rd magazine was too tempting. :)
Who uses the rear sight on the M11 anyway?

I hope he has stocked up on those 100 rd mags.
I worry that they will not be replaceable in the future.
