NRA is raising concerns about Holder to the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. So NRA is not doing nothing in regards to Holder. Leahy was D rated last time he ran into 2004. No doubt some folks will say this is not enough.

Of course it’s not enough – but its a start.
It shouldn’t be surprising if folks say “this is not enough”. You complain (rightfully) that folks contacting their representatives just once on one issue is not enough. Why would one letter (dated after the blogosphere blow-up over the NRA and this issue – coincidence? Probably. ) be considered “enough”?
I don’t think it’s surprising, but for the reasons I outlined in great detail, I don’t think they are going to be able to take this much farther.
Now I can’t speak for the NRA, but as far as I know, they did send a letter to Leahy and Specter opposing holder. Yes, I would like to see the NRA fight harder, but for them to be taken seriously amongst the halls of congress, they can’t be viewed as just an extreme right wing organization. This means that at times they may have to pick and choose their battles to remain enough so in the good graces of the left that they are at least willing to listen to what the NRA have to say. Don’t misunderstand me, I want nothing short of the Holder nomination being shot down by the proverbial Colt .45 of justice. This is a time when all of us true conservatives and supporters of the 2nd Amendment have to stick together even if we disagree on certain issues. This is the only way we will remain strong enough to defeat the liberal machine.
