Hell, I did not even know that there were any steel plants still here. I thought it all came from China like every thing else.
I like how those union guys ended up shooting themselves in the foot.
These union guys also work in the construction industry and it’s totally dead up here right now for them. That, in turn, affects me as an architect and I’ve been out of work for 5-1/2 months now. Nobody is going to hire someone with 20+ years of experience when they can hire some college kid and pay him minimum wage.
It’s funny that RedState blog entries tagged “Unemployment” only go back to January 2009. I wonder why a website that’s been around since 2004 only became interested in unemployment and job loss this year. Was Pennsylvania gaining jobs up until 2009 or something?
