I too wallowed in the sun for 40 years and now get to enjoy the belated benefits. Been dealing with basal and squamous cell “C” for more than five years. Had the MOHs procedure several locations – outpatient surgery, leaves a detectable scar. I see the dermatologist every 6 months, and they do a thorough inspection – any thing they see that they don’t like gets frozen with liquid N, and/or follow up treated with topical chemicals for a couple weeks. It hasn’t been too bad, really.
My days in the sun are over, per orders. Otherwise, life goes on as usual.
Thanks Sebastian! Believe it or not, I am not a sun worshiper, but between coaching lacrosse in the spring and the usual chores – lawn mowing, etc – I usually bake. Not any more.
