RWN Reports on the Rise of MAIG

I appreciate Doubleplusundead for helping spread the word about MAIG to a wider audience. A few of these new mayors are in my area, and I’m currently thinking about how to approach them in an attempt to get them out. We’ve tried one approach previously, but I wasn’t all that pleased with the result, so we’ll try something new. The important thing is grass roots pressure. That’s the only thing that’s going to get a lot of these mayors to quit.

  1. MAIG is far from the first group to disguise it’s extremist anti-gun agenda under a patina of sophistry.

    The Brady ‘campaign against gun violence’ (previously known as Handgun Control Inc.) are quick to accuse the NRA of extremism while at the same time they supported extremist positions on the Washington D.C. handgun ban, the Canadian long-gun registry, and the Australian firearm confiscation.

    Perhaps an effective tactic is to find some way to flush out the MAIG and get them to admit to extreme policy positions. Perhaps direct inquiry on things like McDonald v. Chicago can get them to fess up?
