The Seattle Times is reporting the proposed assault weapons ban in that state is likely to fail. I think we’ve successfully managed to turn this issue into a loser for the gun control movement. Education was the key.

The bill states that the sherriff gets to inspect your house once a year to make sure your guns are safely stored.
1. What the hell does this have to do with stopping people like the police shooter, which is the reason for this bill.
2. Would liberals tolerate the sherriff inspecting their books or abortion rights advocates tolerate the sherriff inspecting people’s bedrooms?
3. Who the hell thinks they can intrude into peoples houses. What kind if fascist crap is that?
Precisely, Peter. That’s why so many of us up here in the land of Starbucks, Microsoft, Amazon, Boeing, and Unicorns are calling our representatives and giving them an ear-full.
At least the Times was responsible enough to point out that pistols were the primary weapons used in these crimes, not scary guns. Although I dislike the fact that Everstine called the Kel-Tec SU16 an “Assault Weapon”.
This s**t is going down.
