…. in Massachusetts? This passed in New Jersey, but it took Corzine putting everything he had behind it. It’s getting more costly to pass further gun control even in the states where support for gun control has traditionally been strong. We’re winning.

The MA shooting communitee flooded the state house phones with calls over the last two days, and seem to have made an impact.
The fight may not actually be over, though, as the bill’s sponsor is making noises about other procedural moves to get the bill to the legislature floor.
Yeah Mass has been holding the line, and even making some good inroads since Mitt Left the state.
They’ve been trying to get one-gun-a-month passed damn near every year for the past 4 years, and each time it fails.
Also permits are up!
We are winning!
I’ll be just as amazed if the attempt to ban shotguns in England fails as well: it would indicate that we’re even making headway in England!
But I’m not holding my breath…
This bill (and its spawn) will keep coming up as long as those in power remain in power, it’s how they work. That said, the bill that Ma. gun owners need to get behind is H2259, the comprehensive reform bill sponsored by GOAL. Please pass the word and call your reps and senators.
