Democratic Governors running for Senate seats are running ads bragging about their NRA endorsements, and shooting bad bills:
In addition to being bad news for the Brady folks, this is also bad news for Obama and the Democratic leadership in Congress. One wonders whether they will want to condemn this eliminationist rhetoric, which is surely only to be found on the right side of the aisle.
Counting down to the first comment declaring that Manchin is a complete fraud and/or idiot because he didn’t have eyes and ears protected in his commercial . . . . 3 . . . . 2 . . . . 1 . . . .
Eh, you can’t make a call on ears in that commercial. I know quite a few people who have really nice, small in-the-ear protection so they don’t have bulky pieces when they shoot.
No ear plugs.. can’t be a experienced shooter.
I like Manchin for the most part. This country needs more democrats like him.
Did John Kerrry – who served in Viet Nam – move to West Virginia?
Many hunters I know don’t wear either in the field.
I just wonder what he thinks are the bad parts of Obama care – as opposed to what he supports.
My Dad is one hell of a good shot with everything from his mini14 to his 7mm mag and the man never wears ears or shooting glasses. Not wearing either should be a barometer of one’s firearm experience.
I like the Manchin add, at least he looks like he shot his rifle before.
“should be”
Oops, I meant “shouldn’t be”
I’m from WV, never wore eye or ear protection until I moved to FL and used an indoor range. I don’t know why, it just wasn’t something that we thought of back then, and it can be hard to learn new habits.
West Virginia is a funny place, too… Our Democrats can be to the right of many Republicans on a lot of issues. Most folks up there are fairly conservative as a whole.
I’m amazed how much he looks like the old Notre Dame/ Washington Redskins quarterback Joe Theisman. I guess that is what the ads mean by “Washington Joe”.
