So it’s not just me. I have a sneaky suspicion that this new flowering of articles regarding the Mexican drug war and how US dealers are “supplying” the cartels (in the face of facts and logic) is the administration laying the groundwork for a new round of arms restrictions, including a new “assault weapons” ban.
Now that Heller and McDonald have established a right exists, the adminstration seem to be determined to find the limit of that right, according to the Court, and go up to that limit, if possible, all the while claiming fidelity to the Constitution as interpreted in Heller and McDonald.
Distinguish the administration from the agencies, here. I see agency wishlists, not action from 1600 PA Ave.
