He’s calling for a new assault weapons ban. I believe, the first Republican Senator to come out in support of the idea. I hope Indiana tea party groups are thinking about a challenger. Two years will arrive quickly.

Dick’ll be tough to unseat; he has quite a machine.
We’re doing what we can, though.
Lugar should change parties.
He certainly is not distinguishing himself as a scholar of history or to have studied regualtion that is effective and has a good outcome, versus intrusive and silly bloviation.
I hope he is fired for cause in his next performance review.
Sen. Lugar, whom I’ve greatly admired in the past, also didn’t support the national CCW, when it fell two votes short this summer.
What’s the deal with him and the Second Amendment? I’m very disappointed.
Arguably his vote scuttled nationwide CCW permit reciprocity.
I heard a rumor that he misses hanging out with Arlen Specter. ;-)
