It would certainly seem so. I insure my guns through NRA, so it’s not an issue that’s ever come up with my insurance company.

The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State …

Actually, judging from
http://blog.ryjones.org/2008/07/26/travelers-insurance/
it’s not that Travellers doesn’t want to insure guns themselves. It’s that they’re refusing to insure a property where guns are kept.
So it might very well be an issue for your insurance company, should they find out you are an armed citizen.
Just added a comment that has a link. Might want to check the spam filter.
Funny this should come up. I literally had the exact same conversation. I rent and I called up Travelers to tell them they had my address wrong and the agent asked me about getting riders for my valuables and he wanted me to give him a detailed list of all my weapons, make, model, serial numbers ,etc and I refused.
I’m now looking for another insurance agency to do my renters insurance and my firearms.
I have my gun collection insured through a personal property articles rider on my State Farm homeowner’s insurance. I send my agent a list of my guns and their approximate replacement value. They don’t seem to care.
Not anti Guns. Just anti America.
