Dave Kopel reminds us. The uprising started with ten handguns. Yet we’re told by our opponents that such resistance is futile, so why bother. In the end, the uprising probably didn’t save any Jews, but everyone has a choice to make about whether to submit, or fight. Our opponents only want us to have one of those choices.

Several dozen Warsaw Ghetto fighters survived, in fact, and they helped others escape too.
The uprising did save jewish lives. Hitler had to pull troops from the eastern front to put down the uprising, which shortened the war on that front, which meant the concentration camps were liberated sooner.
Plus, like i.e. Pearl Harbor, it inspired others to in later battles.
It is notable too that the Warsaw Ghetto Fighters held off the Germans longer than the entire Polish army did!
It’s been some years since I read up on the uprising but didn’t the Germans finally resort to artillery to quell the uprising?
