Most of the cops in my little town are very pro 2a and see no threat from the law abiding gun owner.
It’s only tyrants and dictators who fear an armed populous.

Cowboys? Databases to track problems in other states? WTF? These guys are claiming to be in favor of concealed carry yet they are looking for reasons for it to fail.
It’s funny, @ProtestEasyGuns was tweeting today about the International Association of Chiefs of Police being opposed to HR822.

Chalk that up to personal unfamiliarity. If you look at the quotes in most every other state that went shall issue you’ll find local cops saying the same things. Then they get personal experience and their view evolves.
As usual, we need to reward and acknowledge even imperfect support, that will lead to more support and the opportunities to help perfect their understanding.
Getting on their case for minor things, especially, as in this case, when the bill has passed and their semi-concerns are toothless law-wise, just makes enemies and costs you positive and influential access.
