By now you’ve all probably heard that Anthony Weiner’s seat, which represents New York City, went to the GOP, by a healthy margin. Jacob points out that Turner, the man who defeated the Democratic candidate, is pro-gun. Really? We just flipped a seat in New York Friggin City to a pro-gun seat? Sweet. Jacob asks, “As for Weprin, what did the Brady’s/NYAGV do for their man?  Nothing.” There’s not much they can do. What the gun control supporting politicians need to understand is that there really isn’t anything in it for them.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, who took over Hillary’s seat, used to be pro-gun, too, before pressure was brought to bear.
She’s a Democrat, last I heard. This Republican guy won’t face that sort of pressure.
Turner isn’t the only pro-gun official from NYC and one of the others is a Democrat.
Let’s not get too excited, yet. Let’s see just what “pro-gun” means. What “I support the 2nd Amendment” really means. If “pro-gun” means only “while I don’t support the most aggregious gun grabs, I accept as legal the current draconian limits on possession and carry in New York City,” that’s not much for “pro-gun.”
You’ll have to do more than just mouth the words “2nd Amendment” to qualify.
If he’s pro-gun like Romney he’s ready to lay-down and compromise – and think of New York…
Sorry, can’t get excited over this unless he actually DOES something about the illegal laws already on the books in NYC.
If he actually votes for the national reciprocity bill before congress I’ll be impressed alot more……
