Coalition to Clean-Up Vacant Lots? Brady Campaign to Prevent Litter? According to a study done at the University of Pennsylvania, cleaning up vacant lots has a significant effect on people committing crimes using guns. I think it’s safe to say that, given this study, it shows cleaning up vacant lots has done more to reduce crime than anything advocates by gun control groups. So why not get on board? I mean, the goal is to reduce gun violence, right? Right!?!?

There is no secret here. Criminal scum hates clean and lit areas.
“You remove the abandoned automobiles, all the abandoned trash where you can hide firearms,” said lead author Charles Branas, an associate professor of epidemiology at Penn’s Perelman School of Medicine. “All of a sudden, it makes it more challenging for illegal guns to move around the neighborhood.”
So basically you do the opposite of what Philly has done for the last 20 years and the crime declines.
If 10% of the people in North Philly would spend five minutes a day picking up trash, Philly would be a much better place. Instead, they would rather stew in a sea of trash. Lazy scumbags….
A bit of advice. Now that you have a job, stop blogging about it. At the very least, don’t complain about it.
