I’m thinking of adding a “Like” button on comments, so the silent majority can voice their support for a comment anonymously. I’m not going to do a dislike as well, because I don’t want to discourage commenters. Just if you like a comment, you’ll be able to express it.

I like the idea.
Like.
I like that because many times I don’t have the right words to express my thoughts or someone already has. I like for the blog owner and or commenter to know I support their blog and the like button is a nice way to do that.

OK – as long as I don’t have to hook-up with Basefook.
Japete should do this. That way we can see the thousands of readers who support her but are too afraid of getting lambasted to comment.
Seems to work ok at Firearms Blog. Likey.
+1 :-D
I second the motion! I also second the motion that it shouldn’t be tied with Facebook. I have an account, but I don’t use it all that much.
Come to think of it, it would even be fun to call it “I second the motion!” instead of “Like”. It would mean exactly the same thing, yet be different, in a fun sort of way. Of course, it would also have the disadvantage of being different from what people are used too…that, and technically, comments aren’t motions, they’re comments. :-)
I’ve said for quite a while that Facebook should also have a dislike button!
Well, having one here is the next best thing…..
