Magpul is moving Colorado residents to the head of the queue:
We are proud to announce that within a matter of days we will be going live with a new program. Due to a bill currently moving through the Colorado legislature, there is the possibility that Colorado residents’ ability to purchase standard capacity magazines will soon be infringed. Before that happens, and Magpul is forced to leave the state in order to keep to our principles, we will be doing our best to get standard capacity PMAGs into the hands of any Colorado resident that wants them.
I hope no one has issues with this. I’m waiting for more PMAGs, and I am totally OK with this. Given the threat they face, the state needs to be flooded with unmarked magazines. They are working on programs for other affected states as well. Good on them. Magpul has been great during this time of crisis.
I’d love to be able to get more pmags, but what Magpul is doing is the absolute best thing they could be doing right now. I certainly hope they’re selling them at or near cost to CO residents. I’m glad this is not like the 90’s all over again, when the manufacturers were all too willing rollover.
Good job Magpul! I think I will go purchase a product or two of theirs in the coming days. Not that the local stores have much of anything left.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from reading gun boards over the years, it’s that some people see the world very differently than me (re: I hope no one objects). I think Magpul rocks, though. And if it comes time for them to leave, I hope they first mold a giant orange Wyatt’s torch out of plastic for the Boulder skyline.
Yeah nobody should have a problem with this. Its a great customer service idea. Also love how they call them standard capacity magazines.
That’s because 30 round capacity magazines ARE Standard Capacity Magazines, they are Standard issue for military, Standard issue for most every police departments i know of, and the 2 AR platform rifles i purchased OTC came NIB with 30 round magazines.. that Makes them “Standard” by every measure of the term, and not “high capacity” .. its the Low information / deceptive liberals that constantly LIE and claim they are “high capacity” denoting that they are not something along the lines of “normal” or “standard”.
Oh, I totally agree. We really need everybody to use that term.
I don’t live in CO and have zero problem with this plan. I’m lucky to live in a free state. Another voluntary move that shows that this time the industry is working in the right direction.
Magpul should just manufacture and market “paperweights” that just happen to be shaped exactly the same as a standard 30 rd magazine body.
…. And the. Sell the remaining parts separately
Love it. Willing to wait to help brothers in CO. Magpul is on my list of people to buy from in the future. Plus they make great mags.
All PMags are marked with manufacture date
The Colorado law requires serial numbering for naughty magazines. The date is fine, because it predates the ban.
Or would predate the ban, rather. The idea is to get as much pre-ban material into the state as possible, to make the ban useless and stupid. Not that it isn’t already that, but to make it even more useless and stupid.
It’s their home (for now) and it’s their product. I have no issue with this.
Plus it does more damage to stupid laws than just shipping mags everywhere.
And let’s face it, the laws are more important than how many P-Mags any one person has at the moment.
you got to leave it to a bunch of Marines to do it up right (most of Magpul Management
