He was buying the AR-15, just to show how easy it was. Yeah, and the preacher was visiting the whorehouse to try to convince the girls to give up their life of sin.

The right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State …

…and every online pedophile ever was just doing research for a book he was planning to write.
Must be nice to have that kind of money to piss away to make a point. If he bought it to show how easy it was, did he document it? Was he wearing one of those Bloomberg hat-cams? It seems the only pictures are from the gunnies who caught him.
Why didn’t he document “how easy it was”?
If that was truly why he bought it you’d think he would want to video the purchase wouldn’t you?
Well, he could always try the “Wife is crippled, children are on the brink of starvation” ploy:

How easy it was!
Why, it’s like any adult with no criminal record can buy a firearm, after passing a Federal background check!
Wait, we already all knew that.
What’s with the “when I go back to pick it up” statement?
Does Arizona have a waiting period?
It’s called the instant check system for a reason.
I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes for my background check to clear, and then walk out with my new gun.
My understanding is that the AR-15 was purchased by the shop from a private citizen so AZ law requires they hold it for 20 days while the state determines whether is has been used in a crime.
Of course I read that on the internets so it may be complete bull puckey.
@Zermoid: Waiting periods have to be the stupidest invention ever and yes, here in California, despite already owning a firearm, I would still have to wait ten days to pick up a subsequent one. I have been cleared by NICS, but California knows better. Ahem.
Apparently, I need to “cool off” before purchasing a firearm. The real risk is that events may occur that may require an immediate firearm (e.g. stalker, domestic violence, natural disaster) and good luck getting one then…
It must be extra nice breathing free air. California Democrat representatives should be issued brown shirts and arm bands to go with their oppressive attitudes and nanny state proclivities.
The only “cool off” I’ve ever needed is some delay to make me consider my bills before I buy another safe queen!
I taught my wife to shoot and I bring guns I’ve paid too much for into the house.
If the anti’s were right I’d have come to a bad end long ago.
Arizona has no waiting period. The delay was to install the custom trigger, stock, and grip he ordered with the gun.
Still think he ordered it just to make a point?
