The Sum of all Fears

We want to carry firearms for self-protection. We’re told by groups like VPC that we’re paranoid and delusional, and that our irrational fears ought not to be the basis of public policy. But the irrational fears of foreigners about the level of violence in the US? Totally grounds for making public policy.

UPDATE: Kerry’s claim gets three Pinocchios from the WaPo. Some days you wonder if gun control supporters even know how to be factual.

  1. It’s simply a matter of whose fears you choose to acknowledge. We support gun ownership, self-reliance, and preparedness; that makes us a paranoid fringe group. Foreigners, likely as not, support centralized government, gun restrictions (or outright bans), and dependence on the State; they must be reasonable people.

Plus, in this new, U.N.-controlled “global society”, our government is obligated to listen more closely to foreigners’ points-of-view than its own people’s. You know, because the opinions of people who come in as students – live here for four-to-six years and then go back home – count more than those from people who were born here, raised here, work here, pay taxes here, vote here, retire here, and die here.

It’s all backwards. WAR IS PEACE. FREEDOM IS SLAVERY. IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH.

  2. John Kerry killed more Asians than my gun ever will. They should be more afraid of him….

  3. If I had a dime for every Asian I took shooting….
Well I would have about 2 dollars and 50 cents. But they love shooting and the freedom is makes one feel.

  4. Three Pinocchios from the WaPo hasn’t stopped “40% without background checks” from becoming gun control dogma.

  5. Hey Kerry! YOOOHOO! Got some News for you! You’d better tell those Japanese Students that if they get shot in America, it’s because of the Criminals, NOT the Gun Owners. And they’d better look to the North if they REALLY want to be Scared. Can you say “North Korean Scud Missile, Boys and Girls?”
