From Outdoor Pressroom, it looks like Sandy gave Henry Repeating Arms some motivation to move manufacturing for some of its .30-30 and .45-70 cal. rifles to Wisconsin. They also add that the work ethic and support of a hunting/gun culture is just as much a reason to flee New Jersey.

Interesting, I’ve been hankering for a lever gun for quite some time, and Henry Repeating Arms might just be moving into my backyard. I wonder if this new building will be requiring any engineers?
For a blue state Wisconsin certainly does seem friendly toward guns.
It is no wonder that Sandy influenced Henry to move some production.
Their location in Bayonne is on 1st street along Kill Van Kull between Newark Bay and New York Bay. The factory’s south wall is overhanging the water facing Staten Island, NY. Henry took the full force of the storm with the waters of Kill Van Kull flooding the first floor many feet deep.
