This seems kind of random, but Wall Street Journal has a piece in their Arts & Entertainment section talking about the 200th anniversary of Samuel Colt’s July birthday and the NRA museum in Missouri at Bass Pro Shops.
Celebrating Samuel Colt’s Birthday
There was a considerable celebration in Hartford some time back. It was mostly gun-free, however, and Colt was treated as a historical curiosity, not someone whose business and industry continues.
