If American immigration policy had any brains at all, which it does not, we’d find this guy and offer him a green card. Anyone who builds a helicopter out of spare parts and flies it to 2600 feet based on a middle school physics education and what he managed to find on his cell phone browser is OK in my book.

Haha, this man has balls and brain, but not much education.
Also, would this man want to come to America? Its not an easy life, recession hits immigrants incredibly hard, and not to mention most Chinese are very nationalistic.
Additionally, he could be leaving behind wife, kid, parents, et al.
Lack of an education is something that can be fixed quite easily. But he’s clearly innovative, and that’s something we could use more of in this country during a recession. Sebastian’s point was that immigration policies are rather arbitrary when they could be improved so that a) people like this guy would want to come, and b) we actually get more like this guy.
