A federal court in New Mexico rules in favor of a man suing police for a violation of his civil rights. Not a Second Amendment case, but still good news. It only takes a few of these for authorities to get the message.

Very good! Especially the finding that denies immunity to the TWB’s (thugs with badges) that denied him his Constitutional Rights.
Further, the wording seems to say that they were acting as private agents: Not as a legitimate part of their job. That would add enhancements under the color of authority, and should prevent their department/jurisdiction and union from paying their future legal bills.
As soon as more TWB’s get slapped down like this two things will happen: the mouth-breathers that become TWB’s will find easier pickings somewhere else (dealing drugs, pimping) and the decent cops will be on notice that when they screw up, they can lose their jobs, their houses, their pickups and their pensions.
