According to a new CNN poll, at least 65% of Americans are part of the extremist minority that folks like Bryan Miller and The Brady Campaign say define people who believe they have a right to own a gun.

My question is who are the other 35% of Americans who think its NOT an individual right? I seriously hope we wouldn’t get 35% saying the 1st, 4th, or 5th Amendments are not individual rights. Then again, maybe I underestimate the ignorance of the American public. The rights of a group are only ever as great as the rights enjoyed by each individual in that group. Rights can only ever be individual, and the rest of the BOR refers to individual rights.
Maybe we need to have a basic constitutional law class in schools where we teach the basic philosophy of the founders and the ideas behind the Constitution and the BOR.
