I really don’t get crap-bloggers, now pee-bloggers?
Shouldn’t this really be a Twitter topic?
Oh yeh, Asparagus was an award winning film by Susan Pitt that I saw in film-animation class at UCSC back in 1980…
In Across The River and Into the Trees, Hemingway mused on Asparagus Pee. This was while he was in his well pickled stage.
I have guys in my hunting camp who turn their nose up at asparagus for a side dish with dinner, since they say it makes their pee smell funny, and it scares away the deer. What else am I suppose to serve with prime rib, an iceberg lettuce wedge aand loaded baked potatoes?
Seriously the asparagus pee is why they don’t get a deer?
Not the giant giant thermos of coffee, the pack of smokes, cigars, chewing tobbaco, slim jims, and everything else they jam in their pockets to head out into the woods.
Seriously the should do what I do, and pee on the tree next to someone elses tree stand. ;-)
Asparagus is awesome.
My favorite recipe: Wrap fresh asparagus in prosciutto, preferably the high quality imported Italian kind, cover in grated Parmesan (again, high quality import makes a huge difference). Broil until done to your preferred level of cheese melting/toasting.
I don’t want to say anything that might be misinterpreted (much less disrupt the comment flow), so thanks for the link!
No problem. For years I never knew of this phenomena, maybe because I hated asparagus as a kid. Took me a while to learn what was making that smell :)
