Writing on Opposing Views, NSSF’s Larry Keane highlights how the response to Wal-Mart selling guns in more stores from Boston Mayor & MAIG leader Tom Menino reveals that even when they get what they want, MAIG still isn’t happy as long as law abiding Americans are still allowed to purchase & own firearms.

“In response to Menino’s criticism, Wal-Mart spokesman Steven Restivo said the world’s largest retailer will not sell firearms at any future Boston store. “We are proud of our participation in the Mayors Against Illegal Guns (campaign) and remain committed to the safe and responsible sale of firearms in areas of the country where they are sold,†he said.”
Well, fudge ’em then. They obviously don’t need my business.
Yeah, I don’t blame you. We won’t buy any gun-related merchandise there. Unfortunately, Wal-Mart is still a store we rely on for a few household items. They also have the only decent selection of grilling supplies in the area. But I think we stopped buy gun-related items there back when we first started dating and did our cross-country trip.
I think Wal-Mart needs to get their shit straight and stop supporting a group that wants to ban items that they make lots of money on.
