That seems to be the new Brady policy.
Who gets to decide who is too stupid to own a gun? Is there another constitutional right that we can condition on an IQ test? Is this really the best they can come up with these days? This isn’t a public policy statement, it’s juvenile. This is CSGV level stupid, which Brady seems to be rapidly descending into.
The guy they retweeted told me he was being sarcastic, kinda funny i’ll admit in that case.
You’ll have better luck restricting cars, pools, plaster buckets, kitchen knives and legislative office from the stupid.
(Interesting note: If you @someone, and a third party retweets it, you are not notified.)
Markie Marxist sez: “Since a gun in the home is 4300 times more likely to kill a family member than a burglar who is 5’7”, has light brown hair, is wearing torn blue jeans, an orange t-shirt, brown sneakers, has a mullet, and is named “Ralph”, anyone who wants a gun must be stupid to want to incur such a horribly high risk of death, and therefore should be denied a gun. So, you see, any private citizen who wishes to own a gun is obviously too stupid to be allowed to have one. It’s just common communist sense to deny people like that a gun. You don’t want stupid people having guns, do you?”
@genwar’s Tweets too often lose their sarcasm in transit. Or I was cranky and asking to be trolled this morning.
(Anyone have some cheese to go with my whine?)
“There are accidental ladder injuries…”
We have but to look at the Nation’s police to see that they all have the intelligence and the needed practice to control their fire arms since nothing bad ever happens to them…
“This is CSGV level stupid, which Brady seems to be rapidly descending into.”
Let them descend. I find that throwing juvenile insults in the face of those you wish to control usually makes them much more resistant to being controlled.
Would it make you feel any better, little girl, if they accidentally fell outta windows?
=)
That’s a classic line, Matt… but after interacting with our opponents, I think the answer to that is yes.
Can’t argue with you there.
After reading some of the bullshit at the CSGV site, it brings up the question: is it possible to restrict keyboards from people too stupid to properly handle them?
We should restrict stupid people from voting, too. Check out 2008 Obama election videos on Youtube for evidence.
There used to be literacy tests for voting.
They can pass the law if they can first pass the test.
Anything these idiots can wrap their myopic minds around, any gun owner can solve whilst half-drunk.
If there were such a test imposed on exercise of the First Amendment, the post in question probably wouldn’t exist.
Is there another constitutional right that we can condition on an IQ test?
May I suggest voting?
( sarcasm ) I suggest denying the right to own firearms to democrats, since they are obviously all stupid. ( ends )
Gee … someone seems to have forgotten about the nasty old literacy tests for voting rights in the south … all selectively enforced, of course.
