Nice compliment to handgunlaw.us and opencarry.org
It’s wrong. It’s got a few statements that are not law in Utah.
You are NOT prohibited from carrying in any church. Only ones that have posted or notified the public in the manners afforded by law.
You are NOT prohibited from carrying in any law enforcement facilities. Only secure areas of jails.
Utah recognizes the permits of all states, not just ones that reciprocate.
If they have that much wrong, what else is wrong in other states? I’ll pass.
Similarly wrong about Missouri, where most of the “banned” locations are only if they ask you to leave and you don’t. Even then, if they have to call peace officer the first offense is a slap on the wrist.
Can’t recommend it, especially given how little info it conveys for Missouri.
beat me to the punch. WHO THE HELL WROTE THIS CRAP???
Indiana is also incorrect (incomplete).
I’ll pass along the input. I linked it as a favor.
I’d say the nraila.org site is a much better resource. There isn’t as much info on this site as over at NRA’s. handgunlaw.us is a pretty good site too.
How can it be comprehensive if it doesn’t mention if you can or cannot own NFA?
Unfortunately, still another state’s info is not correct. Major changes to North Carolina’s laws, which went into effect last December, concerning reciprocity, as well well as no carry areas have not been included.
Our goal is to make this the number one resource for U.S. firearms laws.
We appreciate any feedback we can get so we can make this the best product possible.
Please send specific feedback to cwenger@gunlawsbystate.com and any specific law citations referencing your update.
Thank you so much for your help.
