They are meeting with not just one governor, but two governors. Rick Perry, Governor of Texas, and Dennis Daugaard, Governor of South Dakota, will be the suitors. Not that their job is that hard, when you’re currently stuck in an abusive relationship. How’s this for battered spouse syndrome:
“It’s nice to see someone come and say, ‘We like your jobs, we welcome your business,'” said Joe Bartozzi, senior vice president and general counsel at Mossberg. “It’s nice to be liked. It’s nice to be wanted.”
Leave that zero and get with the hero.
South Dakota has had a special program run out of the Governor’s Office to recruit gun and gun-related companies for a number of years now. They are certainly not newcomers to this effort.
Like a battered spouse, if they haven’t left yet they’ll stay till the abuser kills them.
Although Magpul keeps talking about making parts outside of CO, they’ve yet to say just where they’ve stated to move to.
These States should offer relocation assistance to Mossberg’s workers, thereby letting them keep trained workers and taking that many taxpayers out of a tyrannical state as well as the business. Thus adding some new taxpayers as well as a new business to pay taxes.
Win-Win in my book.
Mossberg, please leave and don’t look back lest you be turned into a pillar of salt!
The only thing that angers me is that my gov is not doing the same. Lots of folks here in AL that need a job….
They won’t move. You know they won’t. They could make making guns blanket illegal in CT and they’d rather just shutter the doors than leave.
