Remember, not a single gov employee was fired for funneling over a thousand guns to Mexican drug cartels… let alone imprisoned.
The last I heard, this employee is still on the payroll even though he has refused to discuss anything with investigators from the state and feds – even on ways to improve the system. I find it very suspicious that the governor is defending him after his refusal. Who the hell is this person and why does he have that kind of protection?
It’s certainly within one’s right to not cooperate with investigations that could lead to charges, but the punishment should be immediate termination of employment.
