Before: The Patio
The roof doesn’t actually extend out to the edge of the concrete shown on this half of the patio. The “garden bed” extending into the concrete previously held a giant tree that needed to come down since it was damaging the house. Unfortunately, the previous owners decided to build the roof and patio around it rather than just taking the damn thing down.
The crack in the concrete was caused by the roots of the other tree semi-hidden by the grill.
